Geyer collaborated with Suncorp to develop a destinational store of 400m2 across two levels in the heart of Sydney’s busy retail precinct; the first of its kind on Pitt Street Mall. Geyer and Suncorp pushed the boundaries of what a financial services experience could be, shaping the retail experience around the customer. The result is an inviting environment and an empowering experience where people feel welcomed and comfortable to discuss all their financial needs.

Using a behaviour-centred design ethos, Melbournes Flagship Discovery Store places customers, staff and communities at its heart, supporting Telstra’s brand to ‘Create a Brilliant Connected Future’ and bridging the physical and online divide for their retail store design.
The building faces Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall and has previously failed
as a 2-level retail space. A new retail environment alone would not achieve
the level of difference required for success. The new store design must
challenge and change ways of thinking and doing. The interior design needed
to change staff assumptions and behaviours. It had to change the function and responsibility
of a ‘retail store’. The new fitout must offer ways of integrating digital,
physical and human touchpoints. A successful store refurbishment would create ‘signature’
experiences to educate and add value to customers visits, so they leave ‘better off’.

At Geyer our focus has always been on the human aspect of the built environment. We are dedicated to creating spaces that people feel connected to and stimulated by, spaces that enhance experiences and build value for our clients - across all sectors.
Over 40 years we've cultivated a client-centric approach, where you become a partner in the design process - informed, connected and confident to contribute. And we're always excited to discuss a new project. To connect, click here.
The client-centric collaborative process begins, before a pen is raised or a line is drawn, with a detailed analysis of your business, customers, work culture, people and brand.
Rather than taking a view that is architecturally framed, our first consideration is to establish how people will benefit from being in a Geyer-created space. This is the essence of a human-focused, strategy-led interior design. We believe in designing spaces that support the growth of people and communities within industry, that connect between virtual and physical experiences.
We work with our partners to ensure these connections are seamless and can be applied across sectors - creating hotels, retail precincts, universities and workplaces that empower people to be the best they can be, to be inspired, supported and always ‘better off’ for the experience.
Our design teams look beyond boundaries, or between - work and play, fixed and mobile, human and artificial intelligence, global and local. The line is constantly moving, so we remain agile, curious to explore.
At Geyer, our goal is to create environments that are beyond beautiful, that offer more than built-in business efficiencies, productivity drivers and future-proofed technology, but actually inspire those who spend their time within. That’s the human piece of the puzzle. We do this with curiosity, intelligence and Geyer spirit!
Inspired. By Design.
‘Collaboration, transparency and a genuine desire to immerse in our business have all been exceptional traits of the Geyer team. It helps that they are also very genuine and authentic characters.’
'We wanted to create a space where we could deliver financial services in a new and exciting way to support customers to improve their financial wellbeing and Geyer was instrumental in helping us achieve that vision, With Geyer’s help we have created something that is different to anything being offered in Australian financial services. We’re really proud of what we have delivered.'
‘Geyer worked with HBF to fully understand our vision and our future requirements…the design has completely exceeded our expectations. The new head office is a reflection of HBF’s brand and culture, and will be the place we achieve our vision in the future’
